Abstract :
A practical low distortion integrated buffer (LDB) is introduced, which includes an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), a common-emitter amplifier (CEA), and a load circuit (LOAD). Additionally, a common-base amplifier (CBA) is added to improve the symmetry of the buffer. The simulation shows that the proposed buffer has a -3dB bandwidth of 2.5GHz with power consumption of only 20mW. The 8-bit analog-to-digital ADC including the buffer can sample an analog signal up to 1.5GHz with a sampling rate greater than 2GHz.
