Abstract :
An electronic switch prototype has been developed for control of a high temperature superconductor (HTS) R-C-L series resonant device. The device built mainly consists of an electronic power switch with potential use of a high Q HTS inductor. In practice electrical resistance in the circuit, which mainly comes from the inductor, limits the voltages that can be achieved. Consequently an inductor with low resistance is required to achieve high voltage generation and a higher current. This paper will describe the prototype device, and the high voltage generation method.
