Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the management innovation problem that is prevailing in Chinese universities from an operations strategy perspective. In this paper, we provided a conceptual model for analyzing the universities´ core activities and operation process, according to the current system of Chinese universities. Based on the conceptual model we proposed the operation strategies for management innovation in Chinese universities. This paper can be used as a foundation for further research on management system reform in Chinese universities
