Abstract :
A robust network-caching technique introducing autonomic recovery against storage-access failures is proposed for high performance data transfer. To establish the robust caching system, functional modules and a unified web service interface are newly introduced by enhancing the Fabric Application Interface Standard (FAIS). To provide autonomic recovery operation, the functional modules distributed in the wide-area SAN are coordinated by the representing FAIS client using the unified web service interface. The proposed autonomic cache recovery system is experimentally demonstrated for high-speed data transfer in a wide-area SAN even under the multiple failures of storage volumes.
