Abstract :
The techniques of converting 2D dental images directly to volume Finite Element (FE) model are discussed and an effective pipeline tool integrating these functions was developed. Based on this pipeline, the operations of image acquirement, segmentation, 3D geometric and FE model can smoothly and effectively carry out. The final result can be used to biomechanical simulation, clinical diagnosis and optimizing individual therapy.
