Abstract :
Combining wavelet packet transform with self- adaptive operator together, a medical image fusion algorithm is put forward. In this algorithm, the medical imagines that have been matched are firstly decomposed using wavelet packet transform, and the wavelet coefficients as well as the sub-images decomposed are processed with self-adaptive operators. Then the fusion imagines are gained by the wavelet packet reconstruction for the decomposed imagines. The simulation results show that this algorithm is feasible and effective for the clinical applications of medical fusion imagines.
