Abstract :
A 360×200 microdisplay backplane is implemented in a standard CMOS process. It includes silicon light emitters for use in conjunction with image intensifiers, and is also compatible with organic LED technology. The integrated display driver includes column-parallel DACs with self-calibration techniques to improve precision while minimizing area. The IC is fabricated in 0.18 μm 5M1P CMOS process and is 80 mm2.
