  • Abstract
An alternative approach to model changes in human motor functions during cognition and rehabilitation is proposed in this paper. The motivation behind this research is to provide one with the numerical scale to measure progress of rehabilitation or cognition. Main distinctive feature of the proposed approach is, that unlike many other techniques it do not concentrate its attention on precise modeling of one parameter or feature but allows to measure amount and smoothness of the motions performed by entire limb. Such setting may be seen as a generalization of the trajectory an acceleration analysis for a single joint of human body. First simple measures are introduced to describe amount and smoothness of performed motions, followed by relative measures providing possibilities to compare motor actions of different individuals.
