  • Abstract
    In order to protect pipeline transportation and prevent from manmade damages, it is very important to carry out such researches as prevention monitoring and accurate locating. Designed the system project of pipeline prevention monitoring, introduced its locating principle, the acoustic sensors and transducers are located at the end of each segment along the pipeline, as soon as damages appear in the pipeline, the feature acoustic wave will travel separately towards both directions and arrive at the acoustic sensors, the damage position can be located with time-difference transmitting to the adjacent stations and velocity transmitting along the pipeline. Gave the locating formula, then pointed out that time-difference was the primary factor of affecting precision location, expatiated that time arriving at the each adjacent station could be captured much more accurately by using GPS fiducial clock synchronization subdivision technology, Debugged the monitoring system and achieved good results. Supplied a new effective technique for locating the damage position accurately.
