Abstract :
This manuscript describes modelling of a six step discontinuous current mode inverter fed PMSM drive using SIMULINK. The dq-axis voltage-current and torque relation in terms of machine parameters are used to develop the SIMULINK model. A six step 120 degree mode inverter model is newly developed using SIMULINK. Performance test and measurement were conducted on Lybotec six step discontinuous current inverter fed PMSM drive at no load in the laboratory. These values are used in this open loop model. Simulation results for phase advance angle of π/6 and π/4 are given and compared with experimental results.
