Summary from only given, as follows. In using the magnetic vector potential for eddy current calculations, there exists the problem of selecting the gauge of it. As typical gauges there are the Coulomb gauge and the Lorentz gauge. By the gauge transformation the former can be transformed to the latter, and vice versa. In this paper, two formulations using the Coulomb gauge and Lorentz gauge magnetic vector potentials are presented and numerically tested. They yield a unique solution to a 3D eddy current problem. Computational error and computation time are almost the same for the two formulations.
