Abstract
The optimal design and dynamic characteristic improvement of solenoid actuator can be achieved when electromagnetic theories, empirical knowledge, and structural compensation are properly combined. This paper presents that governing equations and various type empirical coefficients essentially needed for optimal design of a solenoid actuator, an optimal design program, and speed increasing method by use of non-magnetic ring attached in the middle of guide tube. And, we proved the propriety of these by simulation, FEM analysis, and experiments using prototypes.
