Abstract :
Airborne LiDAR point cloud data is convenient and efficient, which is an important data source for DEM generation. Because the airborne LiDAR point cloud data is discrete, it is always an important research to work out how to generate DEM quickly and efficiently. This paper presents a DEM generation method based on mathematical morphology, and the method takes interpolation method to obtain the grid digital surface model (DSM), and then using morphological dilation and erosion operator to get the ground point to generate DEM. Experiments show that the method have better effect on the area whose ground change gentler.
