Abstract :
Multiple model approach is one of the most popular for tracking maneuvering targets. Combining it with neural tracking filter is the task of research project “Development of radar target tracking methods with the use of multiple model neural filtering” financed by Polish Ministry of Science and the paper is one of the series. The paper presents the research on establishing classes of target´s movement based on maneuvers dynamics indicated by rate of turn. The research was executed with real radar data and the classification method was proposed. As a result a proposal of movement classification was stated. This can be used in creating movement models for multiple model filter.
