Abstract :
This paper aims to realize a distributed video monitoring terminal based on TI DaVinci multi-media Digital Signal Processor (DSP) TMS320DM6467. The terminal can be used as an independent monitoring device, and it can also be used as a part of a distributed monitoring system. This terminal consists of video acquisition module, processing module, compression module, information storage module, data exchange module and control module. Users can freely set three different warning modes with different warning parameters. DSP analyze video images timely, and detect anomalies. Target segmentation, feature extraction and alarm are implemented at the same time in the terminal or system to provide users with fast, precise and smart video analysis and monitoring services. This terminal can be widely used in many fields, and has great potential in real applications with very high commercial values.
