Abstract :
This paper presents an alternative method to obtain field orientation using a rotor flux observer insensitive to Rr and slip variations. It operates in a synchronously rotating frame. Two variations of implementing this method are presented. A general equation for calculating the slip in any reference frame is developed. The theoretical principles of this method are discussed and some simulation results are presented
