This paper conducted a survey of students´ interest in autonomous English listening and speaking and effects of autonomous English listening and speaking learning platform in Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, and the results showed that with only one kind of resources, students´ interest in autonomous listening and speaking practice decreased and the platform did not offer much help in their English studies. And it is suggested that the establishment of Self-access Language Learning Center solve the problem because it would help students make full use of their spare time to learn English according to their actual language needs with the aid of this new electronic learning platform.
