Abstract :
This paper aims to propose a proper mathematical model to evaluate wines quality through wine grape and wines physical and chemical component. At the same time, this method can analyze the relationship between grape and wines physical and chemical component. For the reason that the physical and chemical component of wines has direct relationship with the wine grape, we firstly take use of linear regression method to model the relationship between physical and chemical component of wines and wines grape. And this model can also be used to model the relationship between physical and chemical component of wines and quality of wine. For better performance, we extend this model to a state-of-art sparse model, since the quality of wines is usually related with only several principal components. For the evaluation, we utilize the cross validation to evaluate our sparse model.
