Abstract :
The quality of phreatic water leaning on both banks of Wei River has been apparently affected by water quality of Wei River. This paper studies the current quality situation of phreatic water and its protection policy near Wei River of Weinan area in the downstream of Wei River. It evaluates the quality of phreatic water with analysis of main over-standard components of phreatic water and its source. The conclusion is that: the main over-standard components of phreatic water near Wei River are mainly Mn2+ and NH4+, and secondly bacteria, NO2 - Fe, total hardness, coliform group, NO3 etc. The pollutant component of NH4+ is mainly from the water in Wei River. Phreatic water near the river in the research area is mainly contaminated by the water of Wei River. The most effective policy of protecting phreatic water near the river is to control and to protect the quality of Wei River.
