Abstract :
This paper focuses on a geometric modeling simulation using a commercially available CAD/CAM system for a virtual manufacturing environment. This CAD/CAM integrated geometric modeler for milling process simulation can operate as an off-line simulator and its offers accurate and practical solutions to the preprocess scheduling of the cutting conditions. This system can be used for machining process simulation, verification and optimization of NC codes in a virtual manufacturing environment. Finally, optimized cutting parameters can be generated to the actual machining process, thus improving on the accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in the manufacturing industry
