Abstract :
We report the transmission of 40 Gb/s channels over DWDM optically amplified communications systems employing RZ, NRZ, CS-RZ amplitude and differential phase shift keying modulation over 320 km standard SMF and 328 km dispersion compensating modules. Impacts of optical filtering of 10 Gb/s DWDM transmission system on these 40 G modulation formats are reported. The mutual impacts of 10G and 40G co-transmission are proven to be at a minimum level.
