Abstract :
In order to improve the compressive strength of cement stabilized macadam base, dense structures will be used to make an optimization on gradation. Based on the theory of embedded crowded gradation, after five tests on the gradation of cement stabilized macadam and set the unconfined compressive strength as the evaluation index, then the optical gradation of framework dense structure will be got and futher more analysis how the content of coarse aggregate impact on the compressive strength. The analysis of the relationship between water content and strength of different base course materials shows that the optimum moisture content what is determined by the heavy compaction test is greater than the test results what is obtained by the maximum compressive strength test.
