Abstract :
Summary from only given, as follows. This paper introduces two computer programs to assist introductory EM fields. Both programs fall into the charge simulation or point matching method of approximating a two-dimensional Laplace equation system solution. They both produce charge distribution data, total charge at each voltage level data, and data of the electrostatic potential and the corresponding stream function over a user specified rectangular region thereby permitting computer drawing of field maps and hidden-line surface plots of the solution. From the total charge data, the user can determine the partial capacitances of the system, and from these in turn the inductance and characteristic impedance of the system as transmission lines under various excitation connections.
