            Abstract : 
Hewlett-Packard, Computer Products Organization (CPO), has established a network of “product stewards” at each of its worldwide product lines. These product stewards act as champions, facilitators and catalysts for the product line´s product stewardship or design for environment (DFE) program. Insights into the product steward´s role and responsibilities, the methods and approach they use to fulfill their role, some of the DFE tools they utilize and some results from one product line are presented
