Abstract :
In a deregulated electric utility market, fair, consistent and accurate evaluation of the impact of new generation interconnection on the existing transmission system, and the cost allocation for the reinforcement, are pressing issues. In this study, a fuzzy logic algorithm is developed and tested on a sample case to evaluate cause allocation of transmission line overloads due to new generation. The results are shown to be satisfactory.
