Summary from only given, as follows. In this paper a novel modeling approach for like simulation of an impulse magnetizer used for the magnetization of permanent magnet materials is presented. This modeling approach involves the solution of the coupled voltage excited electric circuit and nonlinear transient magnetic field problem. The approach uses a xero-, one-, and two-dimensional finite elements to directly solve for the transient electromagnetic field distribution in a multi-turn capacitor-discharge driven magnetizing fixture.
