Abstract
The key aspect of education institution is student evaluation. Fairness in evaluation encourages and motivates students to perform better as they feel it is a true receipt of their hard work. Because of unfair evaluation students may miss some career opportunity which will make them de-motivated and disheartened. For large number of students, more examiners are required for assessment. In this scenario, there is every possibility that some examiners may be strict, some may be lenient and some are of normal type. Now, the fortune of the students will be decided by type of examiner (strict or lenient) who will be doing assessment of student´s answersheets. The proposed method provides solution to the problem of subjective decision of examiner. It tries to infer strict and lenient marks into approximately normal marks as per the level or degree of strictness/ leniency of the examiner. To achieve this proposed method makes use of fuzzy logic.
