Abstract :
This paper explains system level tests performed in Compact Antenna Test System. This test system can create the RF communication environment of a communication satellite in a geosynchronous orbit that is capable of generating quite zone having the required plane wave properties for Geosynchronous Communication Satellite tests. Compact Antenna Test System, purpose, working principles, types of tests performed such as Effective Isotropic Radiated Power, Input Power Flux Density, Passive Intermodulation, Gain over Temperature, antenna radiation pattern and gain measurements [1] are explained.
