Abstract :
The paper presents an approach to model power transits in reliability calculations with special regard to the evaluation of the reliability of power transits and the effects of transits on other system customers. The attributes of the transit model as well as the model of reserve power injections are described in detail. Furthermore the paper presents a reliability calculation regarding a realistic power system. The reliability parameters of special customers are compared for calculations of today´s state without power transits and for a possible future transit scenario to show the impact of power transits on system reliability. Furthermore the reliability parameters of the power transits are defined and calculated to determine how reliable a transit can be guaranteed.
