Abstract :
As the main protection of high voltage direct current (HVDC), the traveling wave protection is not easily affected by the resistance and capacitance of the transmission line, but there are still some shortcomings. This article not only briefly analyses some the traveling wave protection method based on wavelet transform and mathematical morphology, but also sums some non-traveling wave protection methods in recent years, finally proposes several recommendations on HVDC.
