Abstract :
A novel tunable fiber ring laser configuration with multi-stage hybrid Raman/EDF amplification is first proposed and demonstrated for realizing an ultra-long-distance (~100 km) fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing system with a high optical SNR of >50 dB.
