  • Abstract
A dual 6.8-10.7-GHz receive/transmit module with synthesized local oscillators (LOs) has been developed. The use of 72 MMICs (monolithic microwave integrated circuits) allows this complex module to be implemented in a small, lightweight package suitable for use in airborne systems. This module is combined with receive and transmit block converter modules to build a 2-18-GHz electronic warfare (EW) system. Use of a synthesized first LO along with a LO cancellation scheme provides excellent frequency stability and low phase noise.<>
