Abstract
Polarization independent all-optical retiming is demonstrated experimentally at 10 Gb/s using a self-pulsating DFB laser and cross-phase modulation in a highly nonlinear fiber. Regardless of its state-of-polarization, the timing jitter of retimed data signal is less than 2 ps. copy2006 Optical Society of America
