Abstract
This work derives proper decisions using a colored Petri nets (CPN) based inference mechanism to transfer loads among the distribution feeders by combining the load characteristics and the variations among customers due to temperature increases. The proposed colored Petri nets inference mechanism enhances the operating performance on the basis of the sensitivity to temperature of the service associated with switching operations. A practical distribution system with 19 feeders, daily load profiles and corresponding temperature sensitivity is utilized to perform computer simulations to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented methodology.
