Abstract
In the present study, theoretical approach used to solve the problem of one dimensional non linear partial differential equation for moisture content of soil. The mathematical formulation leads to a non linear partial differential equation and its solution have been obtained by homotopy analysis method. The analytical results of the equation have been obtained in term of negative exponential terms, which represents the moisture content θ(Z, T) of soil for any depth Z, T > 0. The results reveal that this method is very efficient and can be applied to other nonlinear problems. All computations have been carried out using some Maple coding and graphical presentation is given.
