Abstract
The main goal of this work is a presentation of a new algorithm dedicated to cysts detection in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) images. Considered in this paper OCT scans concern the eyeball examination in ophthalmology. The proposed approach utilizes different image processing techniques including non-linear complex diffusion and mathematical morphology operations and algorithms, in particular H-Minima Transform, image reconstruction by erosion, geodesic operations etc. The algorithm - to confirm its effectiveness - has been verified based on OCT series.
