Abstract :
Simulations demonstrate a 3rd order IIR equalizer compensates for modal dispersion in over 90% of the 5% worst-case 50-m multimode fiber links at 40 Gbps with less than 2.5 dB ISI penalty and 0.15 UI of jitter.
