Abstract :
A new control method is proposed to eliminate harmonics and to improve power factor to be applied in medium and low voltage distribution systems. Principle of operation and control, analysis and design of the new circuit equipped with IGBT is presented, which is suitable for compensating rapidly changing loads and reactive power.
