Abstract :
This paper presents the lateral position control of a moving web using a steering guide system in roll-to-roll (R2R) printed electronics. In typical R2R printed electronics processes, a web like plastic film runs through a long drying section where the lateral displacement of web is affected by the airflow in the dryer. In order to eliminate the lateral error, a steering guide can be used. We developed a fuzzy control method to reduce the lateral error and verified the performance through the computer simulation.
