  • Abstract
Describes a special interface that was developed in order to implement a network using infrared (IR) radiation as communication channel for the terminals and utilizing the inherent capabilities of the integrated services digital networks (ISDN). The developed interface provides a suitable means for adapting the basic access ISDN (192 kb/s) to the IR terminals in a two-way IR communication channel, using a special 4-pulse position modulation (4PPM) scheme
