Abstract
The authors investigate the effect of a frequency selective surface (FSS) type of radome on an antenna that is placed in the proximity of the radome. To illustrate the application of the method that models configurations of this type, they study the distortion introduced by an FSS radome on the far-field pattern of a half-wave dipole antenna. The reaction between the radome and the antenna is calculated using a perturbation approach.<>
