Abstract :
In this paper, a new method for chattering alleviation of a variable structure control (VSC) system based on vibrational control theory is proposed. A continuous APAZ signal is introduced into the controller; then the nonlinear relay function in the VSC system can be smoothed and `chattering´ can be alleviated. Meanwhile, the dynamic and steady properties are not affected by introducing the APAZ signal into such a VSC system
