Abstract
This paper makes a preparation for a short-axis 10 MW HTS wind generator design by determining some uncertain design parameters through simulation and analysis. Simulation models are built based on Ansoft Maxwell to compare the change of efficiency, generator weight, HTS tapes consumption, and magnetic field distribution with these uncertain parameters. The optimal design parameters are therefore obtained.
