Abstract
The submitted paper deals with the torque control strategy of five phases, concentrated windings, synchronous machine supplied by PWM inverters. First, the electrical drive behaviour will be studied, based on inductance matrix, EMF waveform and harmonics analysis. Second, by using an appropriate transformation, an electrical model of the machine in orthogonal fully decoupled subspaces is developed. Finally, in order to minimize copper losses and to maximize average torque, a control strategy law and a regulation scheme is proposed. For each submachine, the controller performance is discussed.
