Abstract :
We propose a new small biped walking entertainment robot, SDR-4X (Sony dream robot, a prototype). One of the new key technologies developed for SDR-4X is Real-time integrated adaptive motion control using the enhanced new robot actuator, ISA (intelligent servo actuator) The optimization technology of 3D Electromagnetic field analysis makes possible the estimation of motor characteristics, and has proved to be very effective in developing a high-performance actuator.
