Abstract :
In this study, a 3D image processing method of improving the visual sense of depth in line with the human visual perception characteristics was developed. Some of the visual processes that occur in human visual perception were reproduced to estimate the interest area that would correspond to the visual selective attention through the salient color model, the depth was translated on the basis of the interest area, and the image quality was enhanced in tune with the 3D image characteristics. In this way, the perceptive sense of depth can be improved and fatigue can be decreased when watching a 3D display.
