Abstract :
Up to the present, expert systems have been developed in various fields, but have not considered ambiguousness of knowledge. As a method to treat ambiguousness, there are the certainty factor theory (MYCIN), the Dempster-Shafer theory and so on. It is said that the expression of ambiguous knowledge and approximate reasoning by fuzzy theory are effective. The fuzzy theory has been used in various fields, and has provided good results especially in the automatic control field. The authors try to apply fuzzy theory for building the fuzzy expert system for personal computer communication
