Abstract
An automatic method is described for the objective and reproducible alignment of thallium-201 tomoscintigraphic views. Image preparation, polar conversion, and curve analysis are discussed. The method was used for 50 patients with cardiac disease. In all patients a proper reorientation was obtained, although less satisfactory results were observed in patients with septal abnormalities
