  • Abstract
A new method for computational electromagnetics is suggested, that is, the numerical method for electromagnetic wave based on the operator theory instead of classical electromagnetic field theory. By this new method only the rotational fields are calculated and the solenoid fields can be cleaned out thoroughly. By this new method there are no "false modes" any more in the calculation for eigenproblems of EM cavities. This method can be used theoretically in any area of computational electromagnetics, such as microwave networks, scattering or antennas, but actually only the computation of the eigenproblem is completed and very good results are obtained. There is no problem using it in computation of microwave networks, but it still has to be perfected for scattering problems.
