Abstract :
The Pseudo-Star LAN (local area network) is presented as a bridge implementing the IEEE 802.3 10BASE5 standard. It can be characterized as an intelligent Starlan hub, permitting immediate connection to the Pseudo-Star of a great number of users; throughput between the end users is quite high because each user has all the capacity of the Starlan channel available (1 Mb/s), with the additional feature of introducing determinism in the logical Starlan (the Pseudo-Star is transparent to the user)
